What is Hype Deals?

Hype Deals is an online retailer of fashion and other products that offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase limited edition products and subsequently be entered into a lottery with every product purchased.

How can I access Hype Deals ?
Hype Deals is available on desktop, smartphone and tablet. We will soon be releasing our app so subscribe to find out as soon as it launches!
Where are we?

Hype Deals HQ is based in Cape Town, South Africa.

How does it work?

There are a 4 steps to follow:

  1. Browse our selected products.
  2. Once you’ve chosen your favourite, add to cart and purchase.
  3. Your purchase enters you into our lucky draw to win the prize linked to the product.
  4. Receive your product and sit tight until the lucky draw. We’ll contact you if you win!

Accounts Information

Why do I need an account?

To make a purchase on Hype Deals, users are required to have a Hype Deals account. This is for the protection and security of personal information but also so that you can track all your purchases in one place!

How do I create an account?

No need to worry, you can create an account just before checkout.

How do I edit my Hype Deals account?

To edit your account, click on “My Account” located in the top menu. Tap “Account Details” and click “Save changes” to complete.

I’ve forgotten my Hype deals account password

At ‘Login’ select “Lost your password?” and follow the on-screen instructions for password reset.

I want to change my password

To edit your account password, click on “My Account” located in the top menu. Tap “Account Details” and click “Save changes” to complete.

Which credit cards do Hype Deals accept?

Hype Deals accepts all major credit/debits cards including (but not limited to): Visa and MasterCard as well as EFT through PayFast.

How do I close my Hype Deals account?

To close your account you must notify us in writing (from your registered email account) at: info@hypedeals.co.za. Hereafter, a dedicated member of our support team will assist you within 48 hrs.

Purchasing on Hype Deals

What are your delivery standards?

Delivery options are determined based on your delivery address and the area it falls in. Not all delivery options are feasible for all areas. While we are continuously working to improve our delivery network, free standard delivery is for instance not always feasible in remote areas.

  1. Standard:
    Delivery takes between 5-7 working days between 8:00am-5:00pm , starting the day after your order has been placed.
  2. Cost:
    Free delivery for all orders over R349 and within main city centres across South Africa. A standard delivery fee of R35 will be charged for all orders less than or equal to R299 OR if your location is deemed “outside of main city centre”.
Is vat included in the purchase price ?

Yes, VAT is included in all purchase prices.

Are there any hidden costs?

There are no hidden charges on any Hype Deals purchase. You should however check with your bank to see if they apply any transaction/processing fees.

What currencies are acceptable to use on Hype Deals platform?

Hype Deals currently only accepts South African rands (ZAR). You can make a purchase from Hype Deals via any bank account with any currency – however, Hype Deals will not accept responsibility for final billings which have been affected by exchange rates or fees (hidden or otherwise) as imposed by your branch.

Can I cancel/be refunded for a purchase on Hype Deals?

Order Cancellation

Should you wish to cancel your order, you may do so before your order has been processed for delivery. If you cancel after the order has been processed, you may be liable for the shipping fee for us to retrieve the product again. In any event, cancellation shall lead to you forfeiting any entries you may have.


In order for us to achieve our goal of donating to charities, we deal with very fine margins. Therefore, while we do allow returns, the cost to return the product shall be your liability. We do not provide exchanges, therefore, your full order will be refunded and your entry/entries will be forfeited. Returns are only available within the first 5 days of receiving your product.

What are your hours of operation?

Our website never closes – you are free to purchase 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Is my personal information and details secure?

Hype Deals does not store nor save any sensitive Credit Card information on its servers. All transactions are securely completed through the PayFast payment gateway.

Hype Deals Products

How do I receive my Hype Deals products ?

All Hype Deals products will be delivered to customers via a national courier service (most likely FastWay). Please refer to the ‘Delivery Options’ to see whether you qualify for free delivery on your purchase.

Can someone receive my products on my behalf?

Account holders may give permission to an individual to sign the acknowledgement of delivery on their behalf at a business/residential delivery address.

Where is my order? How can I track the status of my order?

We’ll email you whenever the status of your order changes.

Hype Deals Prizes

Where can I collect my prize/prizes ?

Details on where to collect your prize will be sent to you via email in the event that you have been chosen as the winner of the campaign draw.

What if I want to remain anonymous when receiving my prize?

Hype Deals retains the right to use your image, name and any statements made across its marketing channels (physical/digital) unless.

How will I be notified about the status of the campaign I have entered into?

Hype Deals will send ‘Push Notifications’ (soon) /emails to notify all ticket holders as to the status of each campaign.

Can someone collect my prize on my behalf ?

Only the registered account holder, or (and at our discretion), any individual with ‘Power of Attorney’ (POA) can collect the registered account holders’ Hype Deals Prize. A South African ID or passport are the only acceptable forms of identification (please ensure your identification is up to date).

Can I view previous winners of Hype Deals campaigns?

You will be able to view past winners of Hype Deals campaigns via our social media channels, as well as on our ‘blog’ page

How long do I have to collect my prize?

You will have 48 Hours to respond to our winner’s notice. Once we have gotten in touch, you will have 10 working days to collect the prize unless otherwise arranged with our support team.
